Debbie specializes in coaching triathlon, running, trail running, and time trial cycling. She believes in a personalized, strength-based approach: “Be brave. Be powerful. Be yourself.” Her goal? To help athletes of all levels—from beginners to aspiring pros—build confidence and crush their goals.
Debbie’s endurance journey began as a teen running track and cross-country, and by 16 she was riding century rides with her dad—completing the Seattle-to-Portland ride five times before age 21. She discovered triathlon six years ago and quickly rose through the ranks, earning multiple amateur wins in long-course racing. After a challenging 2023–2024 season, she began self-coaching, leading to a breakout pro year. Debbie also thrives on the trails, with seven overall wins and five course records.
Her favorite local race is the Lake Whatcom Triathlon, where the community, atmosphere, and challenge come together in a way that keeps her coming back. After a hard race, she reaches for salty potato chips. She doesn’t like cheese (yes, really), loves to travel, and is an unapologetic dog person. If she ever left triathlon, you’d probably find her chasing dirt and elevation on the trails.
You can follow Debbie on Instagram at @debeck25 or reach her by email at Deborah.Eckhouse@gmail.com. Her coaching business, Brickhouse Endurance, is currently in the works—stay tuned as she launches her next chapter as a coach!
